Ferris State University's Department of Printing and Imaging Technology Management has built a national reputation for preparing young adults for a career in the printing and imaging industry. Our style of education is the perfect blend of both academics and hands-on lab work that is as close to the “Real World” as you can get.
Ferris's Department of Printing and Imaging Technology Management is the first to be accredited from the Accreditation Council for Collegiate Graphic Communications (ACCGC).
The Department has 6 full-time faculty and 3 staff members with a wide range of print industry experience. The facility is state-of-the-art with a brand new G5 computer lab, Heidelberg pressroom with a Heidelberg DI, a hands-on bindery lab, and full-range output center. Output can be done on laser inkjet, film, plate, variable data and wide-format printing.
Students who have graduated with an Associates Degree in Graphic Communications, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Commercial Art, Computer Systems or similar degrees may be eligible to transfer into one of Ferris State Universities accredited programs. Students with these types of AAS degrees can attend Ferris for two more years and recieve a Bachelors degree.
